Miss America's Little Sisters Mentoring Program is established for young ladies ranging in age from 3 to 12. It is a program in which the "little sisters" are mentored by local Miss Virginia titleholders for their year of their service. The "little sister" is encouraged to join her mentor in as many appearances, volunteer opportunities, and other events as possible. Young ladies participating in the Little Sisters Mentoring Program are present the week of the Miss Virginia competition, and will participate in the production as well as attend promotional events with their mentor. The main goal of Miss America's Little Sisters Mentoring Program is to enable young ladies to have a better insight into what the Miss America Organization is all about. Other goals include: encouraging younger, active involvement in the Miss America Scholarship Program, providing a forum for personal growth, and mentorship by positive role models!
