The Virginia Princess Program is established for young ladies ranging in age from 5 to 11. It is a program in which the Virginia Princesses are mentored by local Miss Virginia contestants for their year of their service. The Virginia Princess is encouraged to join her mentor in as many appearances, volunteer opportunities and other events as possible. Virginia Princesses are present the week of the Miss Virginia pageant. Virginia Princesses will participate in the production as well as attend promotional events with their mentor. The main goal of the Virginia Princess Program is to enable Virginia Princesses to have a better insight to The Miss Virginia Pageant and what the Miss America program is all about. Other goals include: encouraging younger, active involvement in the Miss Virginia Scholarship Program, providing a forum for personal growth, and mentorship by positive role models!
